Our Flower Packs are composed of flowers that are shipped directly to us from farms around the world. Before embarking on their journey to you, we employ proper hydration methods to prepare the flowers. It's perfectly normal if your flowers appear a bit sleepy and thirsty upon arrival.
Each flower in our combo pack may have specific care requirements, in addition to the general instructions provided below.
Follow these simple steps for most flowers, and you'll see them bloom beautifully:
- Open your box of flowers and inspect.
- Ensure your flower buckets are clean and disinfected.
- Fill buckets with at least 4 inches of fresh, cool water. If you have flower food, follow the packet instructions to prepare the water.
- Cut any straps and remove the flowers from the box.
- Remove all packaging materials, including plastic sleeves and/or newspaper.
- Cut stems diagonally under running water with sharp scissors to your desired length.
- Immediately place the stems in the prepared buckets.
- Allow flowers at least 4 hours to hydrate well; it may take up to 12 hours for optimal hydration.
- Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, drafts, or excessive heat.
- Change water every 24 hours to maintain freshness and ensure sufficient water for the flowers, as they absorb a significant amount upon arrival.
If, upon the initial inspection, you notice any issues with your flowers, please refrain from processing them further. Leave the flowers intact in the box and contact us immediately.
Here are additional tips to enhance your floral experience:
- Ensure each bucket has enough room for the flowers to breathe and bloom, avoiding overstuffing.
- Expose flowers to warmer environments to encourage blooming, or store them in cooler conditions to slow down the process.
- To minimize bacteria and promote longevity, keep your buckets and/or vases filled with clean, fresh water.
